Wolverhampton Half Marathon

This years Wolverhampton marathon and half marathon was well represented by Tipton Harrier athletes who figured among the top places. Notable performances were by Mike Cadman V45 finishing 2nd in 1hr 14min 27sec just ahead of Si Murcott in 1hr 14min 32sec. Paul Rogers finished 6th in 1hr 15min 50sec with Mark Farnell 7th in 1hr 16min 54sec. Mike Cornes (Triathlete) won in 1hr 13min 4sec.
In the womens race, Tiptons performance of the day at the event went to Lynne Cox who smashed her pb running 1hr 24 min 25sec finishing 4th, knocking over 2 mins off her previous best.. Kim Fawke (Telford) won in 1hr 18 min.
This weekends action features Phil ' Im the new pot hunter, move over Martin Williams' Nicholls at the Great Yorkshire Run 10k. Henryk Piotrowski in action at the Bristol Half Marathon in preparations for his Amsterdam Marathon on Oct 20th.
Loz Heathcock, Stuart Male, Ray Stanier and others are travelling across to Lake Vyrney Half Marathon.
