Nicholls sets new course record

Tipton's Phil Nicholls was this years winner of the Tipton 5K road race in a new course record time of 14 minutes 26 seconds, slashing 28 seconds from his 2008 time. Nicholls remains the only athlete to clock a sub 15 minute time for the course. In the ladies race it was a win for Melanie James of Bournville Harriers in 18 minutes 18 seconds.
