This year's edition of the Cardiff Half Marathon also incorporated the IAAF World Championships, where Tipton's Ryan McLeod was competing for Great Britain finishing in 45th place clocking 1:06:03.

In the open race Dean Bate clocked a PB of 1:12:51, Steve Brookes 1:15:55 and Claire Hotchkiss 1:36:05 - also a PB for the 13.1 mile distance.
