Sam Hale reports,

It was a very wild and wet day in Northampton so a big thank you to all those who braved the weather and the long drive in atrocious conditions. The course was extremely muddy, slippery and very taxing. Welcome to the team and a special well done to Chrystal Holt in her first race in her Tipton vest.   After the 4th match of the season Tipton is now 7th of 20 teams in the overall team results.
First up were the under 17 women. It was great that we had a full team out right in the middle of GCSE and A level mocks. Strong running from Beth Walker to finish 20th in a very competitive field. Rosa was not for behind 22nd ( 4 places up), then came Amelia Caddick 34th, Megan Moore 35th ( in her favourite race of the season) and Holly Mason 41st. Well done to you all. Team 7th ( 5th team in the series)
Although only 2 under 11 boys  ran they were both Swift and Eager. First Tipton finisher was Tom Lucas 52nd (14 place improvement)) followed by Kavan Fletcher 92nd ( 11place improvement). Good running boys. Team 14th (17th in the series)
We were 1 short of a team in the under 17 men which was a shame because Richard Lewis 27th ( up 1 place) and Reece Fletcher 38th both put in strong performances. Team 7th
(Team 9th in the series)
The start line for the under 11’s was a sea of green and white. Despite some pre-race nerves Claire Parker was first for Tipton in 33rd place, followed by Sarah Dudley 35th, Mya Woodward 37t, Grace Marnell 66th, Tyler Rickards 87th (11 place improvement), Megan Judge 96th( 3 place improvement), Niamh Hennessey 107th( 6 place improvement)  and  Chrystal Holt 115th. Great running girls. Team 7th (7th in the series)
Next were our strong under 15 boys. It was an exciting race with good running from all of the team. Condolences to Dylan Wootton who had to pull out mid race with an injury. The lads battled it out all the way round with Lynden Hunt first over the line in 34th place, then Haydn Watson 35th ( improving 10 places) , great running from Will Jones 37th( 9 places up) in his first season and finally  Alex Parker 42nd. Team 7th (6th in the series)
The hard work in training is paying off with our under 13 girls who all ran well. First finisher was Alex Westbury 18th ( 2 places up), then Phoebe Clark 30th( 7 places up), Jessie Walker 47th, Jade Charlton 58th( 14 places up), Rosa Shadforth- Groucutt 71st( 4 places up) and Isobel Eagle 76th( 15 places up). Team 7th (6th in the series)
Our under 13 boys have some injuries at the moment so it was an incomplete team this time. Thomas Bentley stormed home to finish 5th( 3 places up), our best result of the day. Good running from Ben Lucas 56th ( 4 place improvement) and Cameron Lomax 65th( 22 places up). Team 10th
( 8th in the series)

It was a mud bath by the time the under 15 girls started their race.  Strong running from Savannah Causer 10th ( 1 place up), Bella Fantom 53rd ( up 2 places ) and Abbie Judge 72nd. Great effort girls.
Team 9th (9th in the series)
