There is an endurance coaches meeting after training on Tuesday 7th July. It would be really great to have as many there as possible. Bud Baldaro is coming across to talk and as one of the new National Coach Mentors his input and insight will be hugely beneficial.

The 3rd BMC Grand Prix took place at Trafford on Saturday evening.  5 Tipton athletes were running, with Phil Nicholls the star performer running 14.03 for 3rd in the 5000m.  The race was won by Anthony Ford 14.01, Mark Miles 2nd in 14.02.  Martin Williams was dissapointed with a poor run near the back of the field in 14.39.

Ian Rawlinson and John Millington were running the 1500m and had dissapointing runs by there high standards, Rawlinson clocked 3.52, with Millington in 3.58.  Steve Marriott was also running the B 5000, and ran a p.b. of 14.40. 

There was a strong Tipton turnout at the Prestwold 10k in Loughborough, led by the comeback of Simon Murcott, running a pb to finish 6th in 33.06.

Trafford Open

Ryan McLeod ran a big pb and quickest 1500m time by any Tipton athlete for some years at Stretford open in Manchester last night.  Mcleod finished 5th in 3:43.5, knocking 5 secs off his previous best time.  The race was won by Jonny Mellor of Liverpool in 3:41.

Does anyone have a full paper copy of the results from the Tipton 10 Mile Road Races  staged in 1980, 1988 & 1994.
