Midland Cross Country Champs Report

The Harriers struggled to do as well as they have done in recent years at this years Midland Champs. Back at Leamington Spa, runners had to tackle the mud and the infamous beacon hill every lap.

Tiptons only medal was gained by Under 17 girls team picking up a bronze medal.  Led home by Katie Harper in 12th in 22.06, Sophie Lynch 16th in 22.23 and Sophie Ward 27th in 23.29.

The senior men which was particularly depleted finished 4th team with Steve Marriott heading the Tipton runners in 12th place, in a race won by James Walsh.

Jo Ritson finished 13th in the senior womens race, with Lynn Cox 29th and Aimee Fifthern 72nd.  Women failed to complete a team unfortunately.

Dan Cotterill had the highest finish of all Tipton athletes finishing in 7th place in U20's race.

Tiptons Under 15 boys finished 7th team.
