The legendary running author Bill Smith has died. Bill wrote what is widely regarded as the definitive history of Fell Running called Studmarks On The Summit. He died, aged 75, whilst out on the fells doing what he loved and knew most about. You may wonder why this should be recorded on our site but he will be known my many former and current members of Tipton Harriers who took part in fell running events.
