AW reports on the Tipton 5Km as follows :-

"MIKE HAGER warmed up for this weekend’s British & Irish Masters International by smashing the previous over-60 5km best with 16:19 in his own club’s promotion. After being sidelined by injury through the summer, the multiple-agegroup world champion finished seventh overall. He was 24 seconds inside Steve James’ 1998 age-group best. After winning his tenth individual age group title in the Masters International vets match in Dublin a year ago, Hager succumbed to injury and only returned to action last month."
