Walsall Parkrun First Anniversary

Next Saturday, 9 March sees Parkrun Walsall celebrate its first birthday.  To celebrate we've got the Mayor and Mayoress of Walsall attending, doughnuts which a local catering company are donating, Jane's legendary flapjacks, the appearance of the Olympic torch and possibly a cake! Spread the word far and wide and let's all celebrate Walsall Parkruns first of many anniversaries!

9am Walsall Arboretum, The Broadway, Walsall.  Walsall Parkrun

*** Update from Kate ***

Please could everyone arrive a bit earlier than usual this Saturday so that we can do the presentations and the Mayor of Walsall can say a few words in an extended run briefing at around 8.40am. Also this Saturdays anniversary parkrun will be around the newly restored Victorian area of the park rather than the usual route. The run will start by the pavilion so could we all meet here. The route will be three one mile laps, taking in the bandstand, lake and boat house.

There will be tea, coffee, flapjacks, doughnuts and cakes in the pavilion afterwards. One of our parkrunners, Charlie Mugglestone, is kindly bringing along his Olympic Torch so it's certainly a run not to be missed if you didn't get chance to see one up close last summer.
