Market Drayton 10Km (12/05/2014)

Jon Shaw was in action for the second time this week at this event. He reports

"Just a quick note to say I ran the Market Drayton 10K...2nd PB of the week for me making that just shy of 3 minutes chipped off, in a week, following a PB at DK10K (48:39).

My watch time was 47:42 although official results are not yet published correctly as chip mats failed. Cracking race voted Number 1 - 10K by Runners World (again) with a field of 2,300 and good support all the way round. The legendary goody bag is amazing with t-shirt, medal, 2 trays of yoghurts, ginger bread man, Mars bar, porridge, sweets, water, drawstring bag, voucher for a free pint of beer at Red Lion in Market Drayton. Nice course that finishes with a 'lovely steep' climb into the town and a downhill finish. The weather kindly stayed dry for the duration of the race. I'll be back there next year 10th May...pencil it in."
