The weather was very kind and it was a joy to be outside watching so many young Tipton Harriers giving it their best. The turnout was good and you all dug deep and worked hard. Great to see our new athletes giving it a try, I hope you all enjoyed it.

First up were the under 17 women in a race completely dominated by Halesowen who finished 1, 2 and 3. Great running from Beth Walker finishing 7th, followed by Kate Farnell 20th, and Rae Nicholls 22nd. Hot on their heels were Eve Mulvaney 27th, Sarah Henderson 29th and Rosa Lewis 34th. Tia Nicholls 49th and Holly Mason 50th completed the team. It’s the biggest under 17 team for a long time , well done to you all. Team 5th of 14

Next were the under 11 boys, a big field of 106 runners on a narrow start line. We just had one athlete out, newcomer Tom Lucas ran a fantastic first race to finish 48th. Well done Tom.

Just one under 17 man for us. Also first time in the Tipton vest was Jack Lee running well, also finishing 48th. Brian would have have been delighted to see his under 11 girls running so well. Sarah Dudley taking our best position of the day finished 5th ( she was disappointed) , it was a great run, a mile in 6.28. Next was Mya Woodward 41st followed by Grace Marnell 45th. Tyler Rickards was 75th and Niamh Hennessy 117th in their first races. Well done to yo uall. Team 8th of 15

Sadly not a full team of under 15 boys but congratulations to the 3 that ran. Lynden Hunt was first Tipton back in 29th, followed by Dylan Wootton 49th in his first race and Alex Parker 59th. Good running lads. Our under 13 girls are working hard and running well. Phoebe Clark was first Tipton in 17th then came Alex Westbury 28th, Jessie Walker 35th, Jade Charlton 70th , Isobel Eagle 78th. All racing for the first time, Amelia Freeman 85th, Felicity Lee 110th and Caitlyn Sewdon 116th. Great running. Tipton 7th of 19

The under 13 boys were lead in by Tom Bentley in 6th and really suffering with a cold, followed by Jack Cunningham 40th, Joseph Lewis 62nd, Ben Lucas 69th in his first race and Cameron Lomax 76th. Good running lads and greater things to come. Team 8th of 17

The last race of the day was the under 15 girls. We were one short of a full team. Fantastic running from Savannah Causer to finish 6th. Bella Fantom and Monique Oladujoye battled it out all the way round to finish 28th and 29th. Good running fromMegan Whincup 60th. Well done girls. Team 10th of 19
